International Women’s Month; what it stands for:
International Women’s Month is a powerful reminder to celebrate incredible women, not just globally, but also the ones right in front of us—including ourselves! This year, I want to take a moment to reflect on my own journey and how it connects to the broader theme of “Invest in Women: Accelerate Progress.”
Finding My Path
First off, I’m proud of and celebrating myself! I am a Lover of Christ, mother, sister, daughter, aunt and friend, trying to balance so much daily, like most of us.
This season of my life has been the MOST CHALLENGING so far. I am overcoming so much, learning myself and what I want out of my life, balancing motherhood, changing careers and shifting into Entrepreneurship and the list goes on.
There have been so many life changes in like the last year, and it has been VERY uncomfortable but, change happens outside of your comfort zone. I’m So proud of myself for being so Resilient, my Perseverance and staying mentally sane through life’s Chaos.
This year I am determined to go after everything that God has for me, no more holding myself back! During this International Women’s Month and going forward, I’m celebrating even my small wins. I haven’t hit every goal that I set for the first quarter of 2024 but that is ok. Here is a Blog post I wrote on some personal and Business goals I have for myself before turning 40.
I’m going to celebrate myself for finding Joy even when the day does not go as planned, because sometimes it can be really challenging to find the good and joy in a “bad” day.
”Satisfy us in the morning with your unfailing love, that we may sing for joy and be glad all our days.“
Psalms 90:14 NIV
My Faith in Jesus, Praying, reading my Bible and Journaling is definitely 100% of what is keeping me from “losing myself” in this season.
This Season of major life changes has taught me the power of Resilience, Perseverance, Going to God before anyone else etc.) and the importance of Prayer, self-belief, and community. It has not been easy, but by taking the steps to be more disciplined in every area of my life and move out of my comfort zone I am able to Challenge myself to be more and earn more. Boundaries has been very important for me, Read this post on how I’m taking control of my boundaries.

Investing in Myself, Investing in Others
I’m contributing to Women Empowerment by working hard to become a force in my area of expertise, setting a good example for my daughter and other young ladies coming after me.
There are so many Women that I look up to, some in my age group, some that are a little younger and many that are older. I make it my duty on a daily basis to only absorb content that is encouraging and inspirational. That also goes for the Music I listen to and books that I read.
Investing in women doesn’t have to be a grand gesture. For me, it starts with simply celebrating their achievements, purchasing from women owned businesses, supporting other women’s blog posts, liking and commenting on post, clicking affiliate links, streaming their music etc.
Looking Forward, Together
International Women’s Day is a beautiful celebration, but it’s also a call to action. We still have a way to go in achieving true gender equality.
I believe that by supporting each other’s businesses, or encouraging our daughters and other young girls to pursue their passions, we can all contribute to a world where women thrive.
This International Women’s Month, let’s celebrate the women who inspire us, invest in our own dreams, and work together to accelerate progress for a brighter future.
Speaking of women who inspire us, Before I close; Happy International Women’s Month to my mommy who is the Epitome of Resilience. I have watched this awesome Woman of God go through so much and come out like nothing ever happened. She is my hero and inspiration!!
