Self-care is very important for all of us; especially us moms, who always has so much on our “to do” lists; from being there for our kids, extra curricular activities(aka for me that’s Dance sometimes 6 days a week).
Making sure they are getting what they need as they grow into adults, reminding them of appointments (because although they are teens and young adults, just like us; they may need help remembering) being there for your family and the list goes on.
With making sure everyone else has what they need, can you guess who often gets put last? Yep you guessed it; ME, MOM. I’m sure I’m not the only one!
Why taking out time for Self-care is so Important for Moms
It’s so important for us to take time out for self-care for ourselves to prevent; stress, burnout, getting irritated etc. To promote; happiness, Joy, wellness and to be able to pour into the ones you love!

I have to get better with taking time out to focus on and take care of myself.

Treat yourselves to a luxurious spa day experience without breaking the bank! Here are some self-care ideas for busy moms, for your at home spa pampering on a budget:
- Run the most luxurious bath: Essentials to include in luxury bath; Bath bombs, bubbles, your favorite moisturizing body wash, this bath tray, Music playlist, show, or book, candles, loofa, a light snack (ex; fruit or small charcuterie), a cute wine glass with whatever you want to drink. You can also purchase these essentials and gift them to another Mom in your life. Makes for an AWESOME self-care package for any occasion! ( I would love this a gift anyday)
- Sugar Scrub Bliss: Sugar scrubs are my favorite shower/bath product when I want to do a little more than normal during my shower. Tree hut is a great sugar scrub that does not cost much but it is still very effective and leaves skin feeling smooth and luxurious. I promise including this in a self-care package for the moms in your life, will make this the best gift they receive on Mother’s day or any other Holiday!
- Hydrating Face Mask Magic: A hydrating face mask just makes you feel like you are really at a spa, if you place it in the refrigerator before use so that it is cold, to really elevate the experience. Target and Walmart both has some that are budget friendly.
- Relaxing Foot Soak: Ease tired feet with a warm foot soak. Add Epsom salts to warm water for muscle relaxation. A few drops of essential oil (peppermint or lavender) provide aromatherapy. Dr. Teal’s Epsom salt is my Fave!
