Every year many of us all plan to become healthier. Whether that means losing weight, gaining weight or just overall eating and living a healthier lifestyle. Started this year with the same thing saying I will get healthier, lose weight and take better care of myself. I did the 21 day Daniel Fast at the beginning of this year. Doing this fast has help me so much Prayer and eating better. Here’s how I plan to become a healthier me:
Mind: A Healthy mind is so important
I always Pray and talk to God, read my devotional and my Bible. But, in the past I was not consistent with it. This year I said I would be consistent and intentional about reading my Devotional and Bible daily along with Prayer. So far (3 months in) I have been pretty consistent with it. Not saying that my Prayer and devotional schedule is perfect. Life happens and I’m definitely not perfect But, I make sure to get it in.
That is so important to me and it is definitely changing my mindset in a good way. Being more intentional with spending time with God.

Also, I want to start reading more, my favorite reads at the moment are self-help, entrepreneurship and financial literacy books. The first book I’ve read this year is Atomic Habits by James Clear and, this book is awesome. I feel reading Atomic habits is going to be life-changing for me and, it’s also a book that you can read over and over. The second book I will be reading this year is “We Should All Be Millionaires by Rachel Rodgers. Both of these awesome books can be found on Amazon.
Body: How eating + Fitness = Healthy body
My year started with doing the 21 day Daniel fast and, my body felt great! This post tells you about the Daniel Fast and how it was for me. After finishing my fast I didn’t want to go back to eating meat and some of the unhealthy eating habits that I had before.
Eating
So, I never went back to eating meat, to this day I haven’t eaten any. So far, I haven’t missed eating meat. What I do is, eat Plant based meat substitutes when I want “meat” and that has been working well. I’m a desert person: I love Chocolate, cakes and cookies etc lol, I have been trying to be more intentional about what I put in my body, been a lot better at looking at ingredients and trying to find “healthier” desert and meal options. Example, if I just have to have cookies instead of eating the whole row or pack lol, I’ll just eat 2-3 out of the pack.

Eating more vegetables, Wheat breads instead of white. Seasoning is key because, I love my food to taste good. I have cut dairy out so when making my iced coffee in the mornings I use an almond milk or oat milk creamer. The same with Cereal, I only use non-dairy milk, For instance, Almond milk or Oatmilk.
Fitness
As far as fitness, I haven’t quite come up with a consistent workout routine that will work for me but, I plan to workout at-least 3x per week. Really want to lose weight along with getting fit and healthy. My plan to help motivate me to workout is to buy some workout clothes that would make me want to get dressed to exercise every morning. Soul: Having a Healthy soul is very important
Being kind, continue treating people good, smiling and getting closer and closer to God. Reading my Bible more and being very intentional about my time with God. I have been using the You Version Holy Bible app on my phone and reading those Bible plans inside the App, these are so helpful because they have them for every situation or feeling etc, it makes it so easy if you don’t know exactly where to look in the Bible. This Bible App can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Playstore.
Praying more and making sure I’m keeping God the center of my life. I read my devotionals every morning. The devotional I’m currently reading is “Strength for each day” by Joyce Meyer and I just finished “100 days of Believing Bigger” by Marshawn Evans Daniels. In addition, to reading my devotional everyday, I read a Bible plan in the Holy Bible App.

I am being more careful about the people I keep around or let into my life because transfer of energy is a real thing. Just want to be positive, successful, elevate my life and just be a better me everyday Mentally, Physically and Spiritually!
I will be incorporating intentional silent prayer time and meditation into my life, that is very important to me.
Lastly,
This is a short version of how I plan to become healthier in all aspects of my life, I really Pray that this helps and encourages someone and I plan on sticking to it this time so, publishing this keeps me accountable.
